Undoubtedly fauna in Thailand also is admired not only for countless species of animals , but also for the respect and the  idolization of certain species. The outline of its territory, Thais likened to the head of an elephant, as Malay Peninsula as a trunk. Unfortunately, with the process of the disappearance of forests for various reasons (logging, agriculture and

burning them), the wildlife disappears as well. Because of the poaching the number of tigers significantly reduces. The number of elephants reduces as well and  their breeding is directed to protected national parks and reserves. Fate is no different for brown bears, which is also decreased due to poaching. Relatively preserved is only the number  of gibbons, species of deer and wild boar, as well as squirrels. In Thailand lives the smallest bat in the world the so  called “ Mouse-tailed deer”. There are distinguished over 100 species of snakes, including King Cobra. Its dimensions reach six meters, and the poisonous python comes to the impressive 15 meters. Vast and varied is the number of lizards whose size can reach up to 2 meters. In Thailand there live over 1,000 species of birds.
